“I didn’t realize that chiropractic could help a teenager with sports injuries”

“My parents took me to their chiropractor after multiple golf injuries. I couldn’t believe how much better I felt and how consistent chiropractic care helped my golf game.”

“As my golf game improved, my desire to work with sports injuries increased. My chiropractor asked me if I’d ever considered chiropractic as a career. I continued my care in college and that’s when I made the decision to become a chiropractor.”

A Chiropractic Education

Dr. Eichelberger began his pre-chiropractic education at the University of Northern Iowa and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1987. After graduation, he attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. During those four years, Dr. Eichelberger’s course of study included biochemistry, anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care. Additional studies were in sports injuries, pediatrics, and whiplash. After graduating in 1991, Dr. Eichelberger established his practice in N.E. Iowa, 13 1/2 years of those in Jesup, Iowa.

Chiropractic and Wellness Care

“I love getting patients out of pain and then working with them to stay out of pain and achieve wellness, so they can live life to the fullest”, says Altoona chiropractor, Dr. Eichelberger. “Chiropractic is the core to getting a patient to wellness. Wellness encompasses many things like diet, exercise, and rehabilitation of injuries.”

On a Personal Note…

Dr. Eichelberger is married to Christy and they have 3 children, Corey, Katie and Caleb. They are chiropractic kids from birth. If you have questions about kids and chiropractic, be sure to ask Dr. Eichelberger to explain!

“I get adjusted regularly to keep me on the road to wellness, just like my goal is for every patient in our office”, states Dr. Eichelberger. “If my family and I aren’t well, how can I help you?”
